FAQs

My kid has school, practice, clinics, and more. Why do they need one more thing on their schedule?
Sports Performance training helps create a stronger, safer foundation for an athlete. The physical stresses of training repetitively for the same activities can create overuse injuries, as well as mental fatigue and burnout. Our training steps away from sports-specific movements and instead trains the whole athlete, improving core skills, addressing physical weaknesses, and encouraging mindset development. Your child will become a better athlete after working with us, and will be able to tackle any sport they try, be an asset to any team they join, and be more coachable.

What does a class look like?
All classes are custom-designed and led by one of our Sports Performance Coaches. The athletes will start with a dynamic warm-up, then move into the main work for the day. Generally athletes will run through circuits with various strength + conditioning exercises designed to improve agility, coordination, speed, power output, and strength. Depending on the athletes attending, coaches may split the team up based on position (pitchers vs fielders; linemen vs special teams, etc.), in order for each group of athletes to receive the stimulus they need to perform better on the field or court. Athletes receive corrections, adjustments and encouragement from the coaching staff, and are taught to log their workouts so they can track their improvement.

What sports teams do you work with?
Our coaches have extensive training in many sports, and follow traditional strength + conditioning methodologies that complement athletes across any sport. Currently we train athletes and teams in the Elmhurst area in rugby, football, baseball, softball, track & field, cross country, basketball, wrestling, and volleyball.

What does team training cost?
Our team pricing is per athlete, based on 6 week training cycles. Training as a group saves over $25 off our individual rates, and increases to even greater savings  when more athletes sign up! Programs range from $160-250 per athlete, depending on number of team members enrolled and number of classes per week.
